Let’s Animate: Redesign Youth Work Through Animation!
Babilon Travel NGO’s brand new project started on April 2nd, 2017.
The main activity consists of a training course that will take place, in Bucharest, Romania, between 9-18 of June, 2017.
It will bring together 24 participants (aged 18+) from across Europe and has been designed for young people and people who work with young people. This could include youth workers, youth leaders, educators, trainers and NGO volunteers who would like to expand their knowledge in the field of animation and to boost their digital skills.
Participants need to have a good command of the English language and be ready to engage in interactive educational activities. Also, they need to be EU citizens or resident in one of the 6 project countries (Lithuania, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain and the UK).
Sadly, we cannot accept participants who are currently involved in EVS programmes or are currently Erasmus students.
The main objectives of the training course are to:
-
Improve participants’ knowledge of creating a story, identifying and answering society’s needs, working in teams, communicating efficiently, planning and timing through animation;
-
Develop the participants’ digital competences, improve and practice their skills in animation, filming, editing, sound editing and publishing by interacting with the local community;
-
Participants will become more confident in their abilities to use animation in working with young people and in creating animations for promoting their NGOs.
The main aim of “Let’s Animate – Redesign Youth Work Through Animation!” is to develop the animation competences of 24 youth workers. The training sessions explore animation from the perspective of digital marketing and using it as an alternative to traditional videos for the promotion of their NGO’s, schools and charities. The attendees will also have the opportunity to share their skills and experiences with each other.
The training course will teach our participants the fundamentals of the animation process and how to create simple animations that can be replicated back home when working with young people.
Participants will also learn how to use animation as a powerful tool of digital communication by producing exciting info-graphics and short animated videos that require minimal experience and equipment.
